January 2006 Server Outage
As many of you have noticed, the National Order of the Arrow Web Site has not been
accessible for several days. Our old server suddenly experienced technical difficulties
to the extent that we decided the best course of action was to move to a new server
with better features.
Since this outage was unexpected, we had to take the web site
completely offline as we migrated the data to the new server and thus were down
for a longer period of time than would have been desired. However, we are extremely excited to be back online with a new server. The
new server will allow us to provide new features and more content to the Order.
We have several new items to post (the staff was busy during the migration)
as well as finishing up the content areas that are still offline.
Major functions that are still down
(as of 11:00 EST on 2/16/06)
include:
- the site search function does not work
We are working to get all areas and sites back up as soon as possible.
