2007 Summit Vice Chiefs

The 2007 Summit Vice Chiefs have been elected. The following leaders, along with the National Chief, National Vice Chief and the Region Chiefs will provide the leadership for the National Conservation and Leadership Summit at Indiana University.

Brotherhood Christopher Bergtholdt is the Section Chief of SR-7A, and is a member of the Wahunsenakah Lodge of the Colonial Virginia Council #595. Christopher has also served as a Lodge Vice-Chief. He has attended Section Officers Seminar and OA Service Corps at the Jamboree, and served on NOAC staff. Christopher's hobbies include sailing, sea scouts, and fishing. When asked his initial thoughts on being elected he responded "Wow, I can't believe this happened and look forward to start planning for the Summit."
Chiefs Corps Ryan Spencer is the Section Chief of SR-2, and is a member of the Netopalis Sipo Schipinachk of the Longhorn Council #116. Mark has also served as a Lodge Chief. He has attended NOAC, National Leadership Seminar, and Section Officers Seminar. Ryan's hobbies include floating in the San Marcos River. When asked his initial thoughts on being elected he responded "What a great opportunity to serve with so much room to grow!"
Communications Roderick McDaniel is the Section Chief of SR-6N, and is a member of the Wa-Hi-Nasa of the Middle Tennessee Council #560. He has attended NOAC 2006 where he served on staff. Roderick has also served on summer camp staff at Boxwell Scout Reservation. When asked his initial thoughts on being elected he responded "I am looking forward to serving the Order and Summit attendees."
Conservation Kyle Becker is the Section Chief of C-1A, and is a member of the Pa-Hin Lodge of the Northern Lights Council #429. Kyle has also served as a Lodge Chief and Chapter Chief. He has attended NOAC 2002 and 2004, OA Trail Crew and Wilderness Voyage in 2006, National Leadership Seminar in 2002, and Section Officers Seminar in 2005 and 2006. Kyle served on staff at the 2006 NOAC and on National Leadership Seminar staff in 2006. He also served on summer camp staff at Camp Wilderness from 2002 to 2006. Kyle's hobbies include high adventure, Latin and Roman history, concerts, and playing the oboe. When asked his initial thoughts on being elected he responded "I am excited to see this committee's work become mare tangible and watch it accomplish its goals of training both squad leaders and the instructor corps for ArrowCorps5."
Events and Activities Jake Wellman is the Section Chief of W-5A, and is a member of the Yah-Tah-Hey-Si-Kess Lodge of the Great Southwest Council #412. Jake has also served as a Chapter Chief, Lodge Chief, and Section Vice-Chief. He has attended NOAC, OA Trail Crew in 2006, National Leadership Seminar in 2004, and the region gathering of chiefs. Jake served on staff at the 2006 NOAC, 123 shows staff at the 2005 Jamboree, and region training chairman. He has also served on his summer camp staff for one year. Jake's hobbies include running and student government. When asked his initial thoughts on being elected he responded "I am very excited to help make the Summit a fun time by bringing exciting activities and competitions to the program. We will create a memorable event that will kick off the new strategic plan and ArrowCorp5."
Gatherings Ben Stilwill is the Section Chief of C-2B, and is a member of the Gabe-Shi-Win-Gi-Ji-Kens Lodge of the Chief Okemos Council #271. Ben has also served as a Lodge Chief. He has attended NOAC, OA Trail Crew, National Leadership Seminar, and Section Officers Seminar as well as serving on NOAC staff. Ben's hobbies include tennis and German. When asked his initial thoughts on being elected he responded "I'm excited to get started and make some unique shows for this one of a kind event. The gatherings committee is very talented and excited as well."
Leadership Development P.J. Berger is the Section Chief of NE-3B, and is a member of the Otahnagon Lodge of the Baden Powell Council #368. P.J. has also served as a Lodge Chief, and Chapter Chief. He has attended OA Trail Crew in 2005, OA Wilderness Voyage in 2006, National Leadership Seminar in 2005, and Section Officers Seminar in 2006. P.J. has served on staff for the National Leadership Seminar. P.J.'s hobbies include hiking, canoeing, computers, campus activities, student government, and the European studies club. When asked his initial thoughts on being elected he responded "I am very excited to have been chosen by the other Chiefs to serve as SVC. Great ideas and results will be coming; keep your ears open for them!"
National Events Promotion Thomas Lambert is the Section Chief of S-1, and is a member of the Chilantakoba Lodge of the Southwest Louisiana Council #214. Thomas has also served as a Lodge Chief, and Section Secretary. He has attended NOAC in 2002 and 2004 and served on staff in 2006, National Leadership Seminar in 2004, and the 2003 Indian Summer. He has also served on his summer camp staff at Salmen Scout Reservation for four years. When asked his initial thoughts on being elected he responded "Wow, this is going to be fun!"
Outdoor Adventure David Emery is the Section Chief of C-2A, and is a member of the Manitous Lodge of the Great Saux Trail Council #255. David has also served as the Vice-Chief for program in his lodge. He has attended NOAC in 2002, 2004, and 2006, National Leadership Seminar, the 2001 National Scout Jamboree, and the Section Officers Seminar in 2006. David served on staff at the 2005 National Scout Jamboree. David's hobbies include running and swimming. When asked his initial thoughts on being elected he responded "Wow, its great to be able to help so many people."
Service to Scouting Mark Thurman is the Section Chief of C-5C, and is a member of the Taleka Lodge of the Okaw Valley Council #116. Mark has also served as a Chapter Secretary, Lodge Vice Chief of program for two years, and Lodge Chief for two years. He has attended NOAC 2004 and 2006, OA Ocean Adventure in 2006, National Leadership Seminar in 2003, and Section Officers Seminar in 2005 and 2006. He has also served on his summer camp staff at Camp Joy as the climbing/COPE instructor. Mark's hobbies include computers, hanging out with friends, movies, music, diving, climbing, theatre, and reading. When asked his initial thoughts on being elected he responded "As the SVC for Service to Scouting it is amazing to think I am part of the committee which will assist in delivering the new strategic plan. It's fun to work with people from around the country to support out councils."
