Planning Meeting

      A new Lodge Leadership Development (LLD) training program and accompanying resource materials are being developed for distribution to lodges at the 1999 National Leadership Summit at Colorado State University.

     The Philmont OA Trail Crew program has officially been extended to run through the summer of 2000, in parallel with the OA Northern Tier Wilderness Voyage program.

     A new Unit Election video to be used as a training resource and an aid in conducting successful unit elections will be released to all lodges at the 1999 National Leadership Summit at Colorado State University next summer.

     A Service to America promotional video will be mailed to all lodges in care of their Scout executive in January.

     The 1999 National Planning Meeting for section chiefs, members of the National Order of the Arrow Committee, and selected NOAC 2000 support staff will be held December 27-30 at Westlake, Texas.
