Q/A: Ceremonies Books Online

Q: I am the Ceremonies Chairman in my lodge and I am looking for the scripts for the Brotherhood, Ordeal and Pre-Ordeal Ceremonies online. I can not find them in your safeguarded pages. Could you please help me in my search?

A: The National OA Web Site does not have any of the OA Ceremony Books available online. This is in accordance with the Official OA Web Site Guidelines, specifically guideline #6. This states:

6. The OA site shall not replicate any BSA publication currently for sale through the Supply Division.

The various Ceremonies Books are Supply Division items. They are restricted, so they must be ordered through your council.

If you need a copy of the Ceremony Books, you should ask your Ceremonies Adviser, or your Lodge Staff Adviser to provide you copies.

The Safeguarded Information we do have on the National OA Web Site is mostly training material that includes specific references to parts of the ceremonies.
